Deepam 2.0 Scheme Update
The Civil Supplies Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr Nadenla Manohar introduced the Deepam Scheme 2024 on 01st November 2024. Under the Deepam 2.0 Scheme, the beneficiaries will receive free LPG Gas Cylinders. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr Chandrababu Naidu has handed over INR 894 crore to Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, and Indian Oil Corporation for supplying the cylinders. According to the reports, a total of four lakh citizens of Andhra Pradesh have already booked their LPG Gas Cylinders under the Deepam 2.0 Scheme.

To apply for Deepam Gas Scheme, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Only the female citizens of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to apply for free gas connections.
- Female residents must be at least 18 years old or above.
- There should not be any other gas connections from the same OMC within one household.
- According to the 14-point declaration, an adult female belonging from any of the following categories – SC, ST, AAY, MBC, PMAY-G, Tea and Ex-Tea Garden Tribes, Island and River Island Residents, Forest Dwellers, SECC Households (AHL TIN), and Poor Households are eligible.

Deepam Scheme Apply Online 2024
To apply for Deepam Gas Scheme, you need to follow the below steps:
- Step 1: Visit the official website at www.ap.meeseva.gov.in.
- Step 2: On the homepage, you will find the “Deepam Gas Connection” link under the heading “Application Processing”.
- Step 3: Click on the link and a new window will be opened.
- Step 4: A list of pending requests will appear on your screen, you must click on your “Application Number”.
- Step 5: The female applicant must download all the attached documents under the heading “Attached Documents”.
- Step 6: The female applicant must edit all the editable options and select “Approved”.
- Step 7: Now the applicant must enter their oil company, or gas agency and click on the “Submit” options.
- Step 8: After approval, the customer will receive an approved message for Deepam Gas Connection.
- Step 9: To complete the agency processing process the applicant must go back to the homepage and click on the “Deepam Gas Connection Requests “ option.
- Step 10: Now a processing window will open where you have to enter their date, mandal, and status, and click on the “Get Details” option.
- Step 11: Now all the items designated as “To be Allotted” will appear on the screen. The applicant must select the request they wish to verify on the agency’s website.
- Step 12: The agency authorities will send the application to the DSO with specific reasons for connections.
- Step 13: If there are no modifications, select the request and enter the connection issued date, consumer number, and click on the “Submit” button.
- Step 14: The “Updated Successfully” message will appear on your screen and now the application will transfer to the district supplier officer for minor changes.
